Appearance Counts!

The overall appearance and structure of your site is just as important as the content.  Visitors will leave in a hurry if they can't read your text due to a difficult-to-read font or font color, or if they can't find what they're looking for in a reasonable number of clicks.

We recommend keeping fonts simple and in a contrasting color to the background.  Sometimes, though, people want to use a fancier font for headings, logos or other text that needs emphasis.  Due to the requests we've gotten to see samples of fonts, we have added this page for the convenience of our clients.  Unfortunately, any fonts not included on your computer system will display as your browser default font setting, unless that heading is an image file.

Now for background colors for your site.  Almost any color or image is possible, although there is a recommended palette of "browser safe" colors.  Colors used that are outside of this palette  may not be interpreted correctly on many visitors' computer screens.  For background images: File size and readability of text on the background image are two main things to consider when choosing an image for your background.

We do not display sample backgrounds here because we do not use templates for our clients' sites.  Each one is customized.  Give us your ideas for color preferences, and we'll work with you to devise a color scheme for your site.  You don't have any ideas to start with?
